There are two types of illuminated letter signs, suitable for internal or external use. Letters designed for outdoor use are fully waterproof and can be used on external walls or fascias.

Despite all letters being designed and manufactured to order, there are a couple of different types of illuminated sign letters. They can be front-lit (illumination on the front), edge-lit (light only around the edges of the letters) and backlit or halo illuminated (light visible only at the back of the letter). If made fully from acrylic, letters can also be lit up both on the front and around the edges giving you a 360-degree illumination effect.

About Illuminated Letters

Illuminated letters are also often used as reception signs or directional signage in shopping centres and airports.
Depending on the effect you want to achieve, your custom LED lettering can be front illuminated, edge-lit, halo illuminated or made fully of opaque perspex providing a 180-degree illumination all around the sign. All our LED letters are made to order using customers’ custom fonts and are fully adjusted to meet the existing brand identity or interior decor.
